Compton Creek Restoration

We are working on a couple of initiatives in Compton.  In 2007, we were successful in getting a small grant to train at-risk youth in the City of Compton in restoration techniques along the soft-bottom section of Compton Creek by Gateway Towne Center.  However, because of logistics problems with the City, the project is on hold.

Another project, that is going ahead, is with Compton High School.  We are working with their Recycling Club to restore a native plant garden as an outdoor classroom alongside Compton Creek.
